Project : Design and Implementation of I2C Protocol

Description: The objective of this project is to sending the data from one

device to another without any data loss using VLSI

In this project, I2C stands for Inter-Integrated Circuit

Communication. To enable devices with each other over a serial data bus

without data loss, as well as faster for communication.I2C is a synchronous

protocol that allows a master device to initiate communication with slave

device. Any device addressed by the master is slave. The I2C is built

around a two-wire serial bus, SDA (serial data) and SCL (serial clock).Two

conditions are there START and STOP. Data bits are transferred after start,

(8 bits and 1 ACK bit).after transferring the byte, the master free's the

SDA line for the slave to send the acknowledgement bit. The slave sends the

ACK by pulling down the SDA line low. If more than one attempts to

transmit, there will be a conflict. This conflicts solved by Arbitration

Process. The work was implemented on ModelSim6.0 and we have to shown the

Implementation on Quartus II 6.0.
