I am applying to the job listed in postjobfree.com for a private lessons teacher in a

studio setting in Minneapolis. My Bachelor’s degree from Northern State University in

Aberdeen, SD is in Music Performance on Trombone and Bass guitar and it also includes

4 years of Music Education studies. I just graduated in May and moved to Bloomington

in June. I have been taught how to play every brass instrument and for strings I can play

bass guitar, guitar, piano, ukulele, string bass, and I have had string methods on violin

and cello. Piano is the longest played instrument from 4th grade but trombone and stings

have been in the mix since junior high. I have taught lessons to students and adults

independently for 7 years starting in high school going up through college. This

profession is something that I truly enjoy no matter what genre of music the student

would like to learn. Students studying with me learn how to read music (notation and lead

sheets), learn by ear, how to take care of their instruments and correct technique that best

fits the student.

This job has the potential to be exactly what I have been looking for after

graduating college and I am interested in hearing more about the details of the job. If you
