Tier One Components Materials Manager for up to four companies under a corporate umbrella all with
different Production and Materials needs from California to Georgia. Building new Buses to
correspond with Tier One component Manufacturers and procuring parts for production, also
maintaining MRO parts, using QAD/MRP/ERP inventory maintenance for standard pricing and
rationalizes the number of vendors and items in order to generate savings through price breaks.
Reverse engineering of parts to create or source the production of said parts. Coordinates all vendor
interaction, key POC for foreign and domestic Materials Tier One suppliers. I have strong planning,
organizing and monitoring abilities and traveling as much as 75%. Blue Bird Motor Homes to manage
materials inventory and part sales associates including a part manager, three part sales
representatives, Materials group and an admin clerk. Increased part sales revenue by 200%. Shuttle
Bus Leasing where I have been the Materials Manager over nine locations with all stock rooms and
parts storage along the California, Arizona & Texas borders monitored and stocked by an inventory
specialist at each location of lease buses for maintenance on Border Patrol, inventory of $300M on a
three month turn rate. Purchased stock inventory from LED lights to Power packs. Also have a
400,000 square foot warehouse to store and sell of surplus materials bought from auctions of RV’s,
bus, and truck and auto parts. I am responsible for up to twenty four employees and all buying
functions. My Management responsibilities are over all Parts Managers, Supervisors, Planners, and
Buyers, Expediter, staff and material handler employees reporting to myself with a dotted line to
Engineering to draw up new Production parts to ensure the specifications are correct. I have been
responsible for Shipping and Receiving docks for three different companies with all receiving of
materials and shipping documentation. Give direction to the Materials Supervisors for all parts storage
of all material in fifteen different warehouses. Generate all pick tickets and pull sheets for review to
ensure all errors have been captured before going to the production line. Help in creating and
processing Production BOM's, schedules and assist in all aspects of Production meetings to ensure
the job runs smoothly. Worked with Vendors in China, Yintong Energy Company to purchase the clean
air Electric Drive Train and Batteries for Electric Buses. Stock and store parts for rehab of buses, city
trucks, trams and passenger trains along with maintaining parts for eighty automotive company
vehicles. Create ending inventory spreadsheets and transfer to main warehouse and capture dollar
amount and produce a report on all excess expenses added to the job. Maintain three million in
inventory for production projects. Follow up meetings with accounting after a job is finalized to ensure
there were no expense exceptions on the job code. Create and implement Policies and Procedures
for the Materials group. Oversaw all 3rd party logistics Operations for all imported and exported raw
materials for production to establish requirements and routing guide criteria, quality assurance and
customer service protocols. Provide purchasing guidance and support to all plant level management
staff in terms of raw materials. Worked with R and D to validate new sources for key raw materials.

distribution management for a multi company owned business.

Team Production Manager for five years and held different positions with increasing responsibility
leading into a Materials Manager Position heading up a forty two man Materials team with all buying
and stocking of the production line to ensure the highest quality Tier One Components at the lowest
cost in a just in time environment. Worked closely with the Master Planner to ensure smooth parts
flow when building products with long lead time items. Worked with the General Manager and the
Production Manager to move the schedule forward or back to fulfill quarterly build requirements and
hit plant target. Organize material handling functions to provide an uninterrupted flow of material to
the production line. Remain informed of industry trends in raw materials and supply techniques and
procedures to assist with future planning. Prepare terms and conditions of all negotiated supplier
agreements to promote organization and information flow. Direct consistency of plant materials
department, including certifying, ordering, delivering, handling, storage and administration to assure
standardization in the process. Sources key packaging supplies for all packaging materials/equipment
as required, attending the Structural Package Summits for R and D. Developed department metric
reports to track overall progress and achievements. Responsible for all D & O, procurement, parts
stocking levels ensuring the ability to ship finished goods off the end of the production line.
Responsible for phase in and phase out of current and non-current model year materials to ensure
inventory turn rate and lowest obsolescence cost. Review suppliers agreements, performance and
reports to ensure materials meet all specifications and the highest quality standards. Seventeen years
working with a SAP / MRP system with using the WIP function. Managed the Western Region
Centralized Purchasing Department for the West Coast Travel Trailer Purchasing group, consisting
of 1000 employees at three plants and five production lines. Responsible for all buying and logistics
for about Twenty Million dollars a month building FEMA units.

10/1986 -02/1990 Production Manager for Auto Parts Manufacturers in
Fort Wayne IN
Managed machine operators for an auto manufacturing plant making a variety of Tier One auto
components using aluminum and sand moldings, milled and drilled parts, I.E. Motor mounts, Ford
Auto parts, Cat parts, boat Parts and others engine parts. Maintained and worked on the equipment
for change overs and quality checks every hour to ensure the best possible products using precision
tools and spacers. Production Manager for 3 rd shift reporting to the General Manager of manufacturing
where my sound planning and organizational skills were appreciated.
Army 82nd Airborne
I was in charge of managing and completing inventory for my section, about one million dollars of
equipment counted and reported quarterly of a 102 Howitzer and all equipment including a Gamma
Goat Truck using Tier One replacement components when needed. Responsible for check out and in
during field duty of any specializes equipment used including ammo and excess powder not used and
would need to be exposed of by burning in a safe and controlled environment using safety
procedures. Chart direction of the rounds firing down range by the howitzer. ( Combat Veteran)
