Key Responsibility Areas:

Operation:

. Control room Boiler Desk operation4 X600MW by FOXBORO supplied by DCS and

Electrical control system.

. Start-up & Shut-down of the unit as per SOP.

. Maintaining the parameters and ensuring the normal and safe running of

the unit.

. Monitoring and following up the process and schedule in BOP area.

. Equipment Change-over & proper trial run of equipments by the planned

schedule.

. Following Maintenance schedule to ensure the availability of equipments.

. Training to local operators about the local line-up & safety operation of

the equipments

. Following up the SOP's for the equipment during start-up

. Handling emergencies of the unit, trouble shooting the problems and to

take remedial actions.

. Coordinating with field operators to ensure proper functioning of the

systems.

. Preparing the revised interlocks and permissive list, check list for

boiler turbine start up & shut down SOP for auxiliary equipments.

. Experience in Grid Islanding.

. Monitoring of stack emissions and maintaining pollution free environment

at the plant.

Commissioning:

Boiler: Steam Boilers of 2060tonnes/hr, Harbin boiler China.

. Co-ordinated for boiler chemical cleaning activities and achieved

cleanness of boiler tubes as per standard procedure in order to avoid

boiler tube damage.

. Successfully done Auxiliary equipment alignment work and initial trial

run as per standard check list and vibration checking work done in order

to avoid equipment damage.

. Co-ordinated for Steam blowing maintained drag ratio greater than one in

all blowing and hence number of scars on target plate is found & removed

in order to avoid turbine blades damage.

. Co-ordinated for Boiler safety valve setting done to operate at desired

pressure.

. Actively participitated in performance Guarantee test. Boiler Efficiency

Checking, BMCR, ESP, Bottom and Fly ash performance Guarantee test done

as per standard procedure.

Turbine: 4 X 600 MW Steam turbine by Dong Fang.

. Turbine lube & boiler auxiliaries lube oil flushing done and maintained

MI, TAN, and NAS Values as per standard.

. Successfully done Turbine Alkali flushing to remove the oil content from

Condensate water system & Feed Water system, HP and LP heater drip water

system.

. Co-ordinated for Turbine initial rolling, synchronising and loading with

coal firing, turbine over speed test-Mechanical, Electrical and Simple

over speed test done in order to avoid turbine over speed and to minimise

equipment damage.

. Co-ordinated for unit Reliability run in order to check all the auxiliary

equipments performance as per standard design and signed various

protocols during reliability run.

. Executed Safety standards for all commissioning activities.

ministry of power (Govt of India) passed with 78.6% in 2009.

. B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Erode Senguthar Engineering College,
