• Made various sand and chemical based cores to be placed inside molds used for the manufacture of castings for mining, drilling and earth moving equipment.
• Pulled patterns, filled boxes, drawing molds, inspected molds for imperfections, coated molds with graphite, torch off molds, cut the gates and risers, installed screens, added pouring cups if needed, sealed molds. Once those tasks were complete the molds were moved to the pouring area.

• Clean up room; while working in the clean up room I was assigned to de-bur casting, in depth inspection, checking for tolerances, sand blasting and preparation for outside paint or powder coat.
