Assistant instructor for the 63rd RSC Hands on Training (HOT) program at the Center of Excellence,

San Antonio, Texas:

• Train soldiers and Mil-Techs to enhance their readiness skills. Since receiving my EPA 609

certification I began instructing soldiers in the maintenance and repair of air conditioning on

military vehicles. I instruct Welding, First Line Leader, Power Generation, Light and Heavy

Equipment maintenance and 63RSC Inspector courses. Coordinate with USAR maintenance

facilities and USAR Units on training request and assistance.

Supervise, guide and instruct 15 employees in the refurbishment (complete tear-down, rebuild

and spot painting) of 5 different types of trailers- M1061, M796, M129A2-A3, and the M871A2.

Also the M939 series 5-tons (as needed) and the 350gpm pump. Oversee the nightly operation of

the shop floor:

• Assist with employee’s human resource problems.

• Assist with welding and fabricating when lead welder is off site

• Research parts problems and act as a buffer between the employees and management and resolve

problems at the lowest level.

• Give evening safety, risk management, and information briefings.

• Issue daily work assignments.

• Work along with the employees and assist them with day to day maintenance related problems.

• Assist with tool accountability and inventory.

• Monitor time expended on each task and work-orders.

• To perform 90 day and annual evaluations on all tech I and TECH II on night shift.

• Responsible for physical security of shop and tools at close of business.

• Assist in QA, initial inspections and perform inspections prior to going to QC for final inspection.

• Help oversee waste containment, inventory, and disposal (turn-in) for the TX0063 site on the

second shift.

• Assist in the work packet procedures and information pertaining to the refurbishment set up and

to insure packets are correctly done during refurbishment process.

• To insure that the safety standards are in place and that all employees adhere to them regarding

work habits and PPE requirements.

• I am the lead instructor for the SARC sight training for ongoing “HOT” Mission training program

through USARC. Conducting training for soldiers helps me convey and cultivate lessons easier to

my subordinates at VSE.

As assistant manager of retail boating supply store my responsibilities included opening and closing

operations and customer service. Parts ordering and inventory management were also my responsibility.

1999 to 2002 Facilities and maintenance manager, Rio Lago Cruise- Tempe Arizona

As the facilities and maintenance manager for Rio Lago Cruise’s boat tour company I Supervised and

trained up to thirteen employees. Maintained mandatory parts inventory and was the OSHA safety officer

for the company. I also took care of all opening and closing procedures.

1996 to 1999 Boat mechanic, Yanguana cruises- San Antonio Texas

As a Boat mechanic I was involved with servicing of more than 40 tour boats with compressed natural

gas propulsion systems. I am proficient in 12-volt troubleshooting of small marine engine and repair to

include rebuilding.

4 years US ARMY performed 10 and 20 level maintenance on all wheeled vehicles including the
