Title: Power saving and Speed control of AC motors through VARIABLE

FREQUENCY DRIVES (VFD)

Description: A VFD is a device that controls the voltage and frequency

that is being supplied to a motor and therefore controls the speed of the

motor. Adding a variable frequency drive (VFD) to a motor-driven system

can offer potential energy savings in a system in which the loads vary with

time

Tools Used: AC motor, VFD hardware, microcontroller
