As the Network Administrator I am directly in charge of all IT
equipment, configuration, and maintenance, this also includes
the VOIP Phone System; configuration, installation, and
maintenance. I am also responsible for Camera Security Systems
and backups as well as the Alarms Systems. Another
responsibility is vendor equipment Purchasing, and Contract
Negotiation. Maintain all contracts for supply of hardware and
software, Install, configure and maintain computer hardware and
software. Validate computer systems. Create and administer user
accounts on file servers and e-mail server. Perform daily
backup of data and applications on server. Maintain routers and
switches for internet connectivity. Install, configure and
maintain firewall and VPN for internet security. Install anti-
virus software and updates. Install software updates and
patches. Trouble-shoot hardware, software, connectivity issues.
Trouble-shoot and maintain peripherals, including telephones,
fax machines, printers, copier and scanner. Security camera
system and maintain backups. Currently we are using Symantec
Backup Exec Version 12.5 and VERITAS Backup Version 9.1 to
backup our Servers. We are running Terminal Server using Thin
Clients as well as PC's, and Mac Notebooks. Lastly I do the
documentation of all current network architect and procedures
that must adhere to SOP's for Medical and Research field.

and desktop support. Network configuration is basic 2003
Microsoft Server environment using TCPIP. Updated and installed
new patch panels, new data and voice lines. Updated switches,

Created user, user groups, Security, file shares, file and
directory sharing, also created Exchange server users and
configuration. Cabling to all Networking devices, managed
company Hardware and Software Inventory. Managed 4 people
in department, assigned different responsibilities and
priorities to staff members. Supported software included
Microsoft Office, MS Word, MS Excel, Lotus 123, Norton Anti-
virus, and various others. Mainframe connectivity also
increased, 256 users connecting to 3270 controllers.
Also I implemented standard of all desktop hardware as well
as software throughout the company.
1992 - Novell Administrator education expanded received CNE
and began work with multiple servers with Novell 3.11 and
3.12. I was also responsible for all patches and anti-
virus updates. Learned
Microsoft NT 3.5 and 3.5.1, implemented backup procedure using NT
3.5.1 with 8 mm tape backup for Novell Network.
1990 - Cert. as Novell Network 3.11 Administrator.
1988 - Started PC Help Desk Department. I was responsible
for all hardware and software purchases. Installations of
PC's with connectivity to Mainframe using RS232 cabling.
OS for the PC's, at that time, included Windows 3.0 DOS 6,
5, 4 & 3.3, Word Perfect, PC Anywhere and Rcom.
1986 - Computer Operator first shift promoted to lead
operator within first year. I was the Employee of the
Month, August and November. I was responsible for
scheduling programmer's jobs and testing as well as
prioritizing daily Mainframe workflow.
