2009- 2012
Rideout Memorial Hospital Addition- Marysville, Ca.
Project Manager-Project is a $240 million, 254,000 square foot, 6 story
hospital addition. Involved in preconstruction estimating, design review, and
preliminary design work of new structure (exterior wall systems). Prepared
structural steel and concrete scopes, and the work required to phase in new
design with existing occupied hospital space. Involved in interior MEP overhead
coordination work utilizing BIM. Also participated in Preconstruction Review of
San Francisco General Hospital and several Kaiser Hospital Projects.
2002-2009 Swinerton Builders
UC Davis Medical Center SESP, Sacramento
Project Manager- Involved in pre-construction and construction of $400 million,
465,000 s.f. Surgery and Emergency Services Pavilion Project. Prepared
estimates for Structural and Architectural scopes in preconstruction. Project was
built under OSHPD jurisdiction. Extent of project involved Emergency Rooms,
Radiology, Burn Unit, Clinical Lab, and 24 Operating Rooms. Preconstruction
involved writing bid packages for exterior skin scopes (precast and aluminum
windows), and structural core packages. Also involved in preparation and over
sight of interior wall and ceiling scopes. Interior work also required participation
in overhead MEP coordination process with BIM utilization. Oversaw the work
of supporting project engineering and administrative staff.
2000-2002 Clark Construction Group
Capitol Area East Complex, Sacramento
Project Manager- Project was $225 million design/build office complex.
Responsible for entire scope of exterior skin work from design through
completion. Exterior wall work included precast cladding, stone on metal stud
framing, and seven different curtain wall systems. Extensive coordination among
the different systems and the building structure was required. During course of
project, involved in several lump sum bids for Federal Prison, State University
Buildings, and Office Facilities.
1997-2000 Turner Construction Co
Hearst Memorial Mining Building, UC Berkeley
Project Engineer (12/98-6/2000) On-site on seismic rehab/historical restoration
project. Responsible for structural work. Involved in planning, scheduling and
buying out design/ build perimeter shoring and load transfer work for base
isolator installation.
California State Seismic Project, Sacramento
Construction Coordinator (10/97-11/98) On-site owner's representative for
seismic upgrade project at Preston School of Industry in Ione. Also involved in
the review of structural reports and prepared conceptual estimates for seismic
upgrades on existing State Buildings.

Project Engineer (2/97-9/97) Administrative and supervisory work for interior
revisions and semi conductor testing equipment installation projects.
1995 - 1997 Paragon Project Management
Document Control Engineer
Tower II - U.C. Davis Medical Center, Sacramento
Project is 14-story structural steel frame building with precast concrete and
curtain wall exterior. Project value over $80 million. Four separate bid packages
were issued on this project. Company was consultant to UCDMC and Architect.
Chief Estimator
Corcoran II State Prison
Lead Estimator for the Corcoran II Design Development, Intermediate
Construction Documents, and Construction Document Design Packages.
Estimated work included all design disciplines for the six major building
packages.
1993 - 1994 SD Deacon Corp.
Project Manager
Sierra View District Hospital, Porterville
6000 sq.ft. Emergency room addition. Project was broken into five phases,
including remodeling of existing facilities. Project also includes new 1800kw
electrical distribution and a new medical gas bulk storage and distribution system
for emergency room and 110,000 sq.ft. hospital addition.
1987 - 1992 Allen L. Bender, Inc.
Estimator/Project Manager
Managed projects and participated in estimates for projects ranging from a value
of $200,000 to over $20,000,000. Majority of bids were public bids. Bidding
responsibilities involved concrete and wood frame take-offs and procurement and
analysis of subcontractor bids.
