Past Employment:
February 2012-July 2012; Diplomatic Security/Medic for ArmorGroup North America;
under Department of State I was contracted with this company to provide tactical medical
care to the security forces at the US embassy in Kabul Afghanistan in both static security
and mobile operations; as a medic I also provided a 911-type emergency medical
response to personnel living on embassy grounds and coordinated and worked with their
emergency medical clinic in a full ALS capacity; while off duty and at camp, the medics
were responsible for operating a clinic for guard force personnel and provided treatment
for a variety of illnesses; my duties also included being trained in the guard force weapon
systems and functioning as an armed security team member
August 2005- February 2012; Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/Paramedic with Fayette
County Fire and Emergency Services; I initially functioned as a Firefighter/EMT tasked
fire prevention and suppression duties as well as a basic life support provider on ALS
ambulances; became proficient in patient care at the BLS level, cardiac monitor function,
IV and IO access, patient documentation, and anticipating paramedic needs; became
Nationally Registered and State of Georgia Paramedic in February 2011 and upgraded to
Firefighter/Paramedic; responsible for advanced patient assessment and treatment in
medical and traumatic emergencies, cardiac rhythm interpretation, 12-lead EKG use in
detection of AMI, endotracheal intubation, CPAP, and medication administration
