turbine engines in the world such as Solar Turbines, Rolls -Royce, Honeywell, etc. PECC has been ISO9001 and AS9100

EATON POWERWARE, SAN DIEGO, CA

Supplier Quality Project Manager (5/99 to 3/06)

Primary accountabilities involved the managing the China based contract manufacturers to e nsure new products always

fulfilled the agreed specification as well as met and exceeded customer expectation at optimal cost of quality.

Process Improvement/Cost Reduction - Coordinated field data with the supplier and helped implement a return

process that gave suppliers visibility into field failures. This activity has resulted in very significant warranty reduction

savings of over $2 million in 2003.

Cost Reduction - Regularly held the Value Analysis Workshop at the supplier site; worked with the supplier team on

the cost reduction projects and achieved $100K of savings in a year; in return for 1% price reduction of the product.

Process Improvement - Successfully implemented the On-going Reliability Test (ORT) program at suppliers and

Mexico factory. In one instance, a supplier experienced a failure in ORT that led to the early correction of a design

issue and minimized a field return and customer inconvenience incident.

Supplier Management/Development - Performed leadership to promote Lean Six Sigma to the Asian suppliers for

process improvements; coached and mentored Green Belts and trained Lean Sigma tools and methodologies to the

Asian suppliers.

Process Improvement/Cost Reduction – Developed and qualified a “go-no go” gage system to simplify the functional

Supplier Development - Provided considerable factory support to the suppliers with improv ements to existing

Therrmoscan designed, developed and manufactured ear thermometers (class II device) that determine body

temperature by measuring the heat generated within the human ear. The products are US FDA approval. Thermoscan is

ISO 9001 registered and FDA QSR (cGMP) certified. In 1995, Thermoscan was purchased b y the Gillette, which also owns

BRAUN, Inc. Gillette, in an effort to take advantage of the BRAUN brand name, began printing "BRAUN" on Thermoscan
