PROJECT UNDERTAKEN

Major Project:-Automatic Radiation Pattern plotter for antenna (Radar

System)

A radiation pattern defines the variation of the

power radiated by an antenna as a function of the direction away from the

antenna. This power variation as a function of the arrival angle is

observed in the Antenna's.

Minor project:-Light Sensitive Alarm.

The circuit detects a sudden shadow falling on the light-

sensor and sounds the bleeper when this happens. The circuit will not

respond to gradual changes in brightness to avoid false alarms. The

bleeper sounds for only a short time to prevent the battery running

flat. Normal lighting can be used, but the circuit will work best if a

beam of light is arranged to fall on the light-sensor. Breaking this

beam will then cause the bleeper to sound. The light sensor is an LDR

(light-dependant resistor), this has a low resistance in bright light

and a high resistance in dim light.

GSM stands for Global System for Mobile Communication and is an open,

digital cellular technology used for transmitting mobile voice and data

services. A GSM digitizes and compresses data, then sends it down through a

channel with two other streams of user data, each in its own time slot. It

operates at both the 900 MHz and 1,800 for 2G or 2100 MHz for 3G frequency

band.
