Starting as the weekend/part time computer operator worked it's
way into a full time 40 hour a week contract position. I worked
the weekend computer Operator position; a 40 hour a week on the
3 to 11 shift. Duties include the daily processing of AR and GL
using Datatel Accounting Procedures and other accounting
reports, monitoring the backup process, file transfers using a
secure FTP client, monitoring all servers in the data center for
problems and all other duties performed by a full time
operator.

The Help Desk, operator performing user and desktop support,
using the Liberium Help Desk Software Package. Support to the
user included assisting users in the use and correcting of
problems encountered with Microsoft Office Suite (2000, XP, and
2003) and other software applications. Configured and deployed
new PCs for departmental use, replacing existing older PCs,
Printer problems on networked laser printers, determined the
cause of a malfunctioning WEB Cam. Had the Cam repaired and
reconfigured the CAM for use on the WEB site.

As a member of a team that was tasked to reconfigure the PC
user base to conform to Ericsson standards. Adding a drive
encryption program to all laptops... updating all windows XP PCs
to SP2 level... Reconfiguring the VPN... Adding and configuring

may be encountered during the installation process.

discussing my results and avenues to pursue.
. One day instruction class for home computer users on computer
spyware, spam, malware and other computer intrusive software
code. This included a description of the types of infection and
how a home user would be able to defend and repair their own
computer. The students were given a copy of a pamphlet that I
have written giving instructions on protecting ones computer.
. Continued research and self testing of Computer Hacks, PEN
testing and other Computer security issues.

SONY
. While part of the help desk a problem - continued virus
infection - was found and corrected with the production line
computers.
. Designed a process, along with the engineering department, using
AutoCAD to track the location of over 1000 computers within the
facility by user and/or phone extension.
. During a major computer deployment for the first two weeks,
responsibility for all newly deployed computers to include
answering all users' questions, correcting any problems and
recording these events in an Access call log, along with
creating and presenting the reports to management.
. Use of a Crystal Reports based Help Desk software reporting
package
. The network speed was raised to 100 Mbs, a problem was found,
one office location was beyond the 100 meter cable
specification. A new Wiring closet needed to be constructed.
This was accomplished using a TDR - Time Domain Reflect meter.
. Setup the Bar Code reader process of tracking all newly
installed PC's and all replaced PC's in preparation for
shipment.
