Distending Toxin, by exploring its structural and functional relationships

and check its effects on HeLa cells.

Thesis - "Orf9 Functions as a Nitrogenase specific ClpX during the

Biogenesis of the MoFe protein." Identified a molecule Open Reading

Frame 9 (Orf9) of Azotobacter vinelandii, a Novel Molecular Chaperone

in nitrogenase complex and elucidated its role during the biogenesis

of the MoFe protein (Jan 2002-Aug 2004).

> Junior Research Fellow under GSFC Science Foundation Project (March

2001-November, 2001). Department of Microbiology and Center for

Research Emphasis: "Chitinolysis: Production of Fungicide Biocontrol."

> Research project under the direction of Dr. Anjana Desai. The

Department of Microbiology and Center of Biotechnology, Maharaja

Sayajirao University, Baroda, India (1998-2000). Thesis - "Treatment

of Nitrate containing effluent with immobilized cells."To optimize the

process of removing nitrate from the effluent of fertilizer industry

with column packed with immobilized cells.

mutagenesis, purification of bacterial plasmids, primer design,

restriction analysis, gel purification, transformation and growth of

bacteria (including preparation of competent cells and

electroporation), PCR.

preparation of labeled proteins, etc.

> Maintaining cell lines (HeLa cells, neuroblastoma cells).

> Skilled in Flow cytometry.
