Responsible for the operation of the pharmaceutical Potassium Chloride and Caustic Pellet units of
General Chemical’s Midlothian Manufacturing facility. Assist in establishing and meeting plant
operating budget. Accountable for: a work force of rotating shift employees, including both
salaried and hourly associates in day-to-day operations 24/7; new equipment startup;
interviewing/hiring new employees; training; writing and administering procedures; regulatory
compliance. Other responsibilities include: ensuring GMP practices are followed; coordinating with
the maintenance department for equipment issues; working with the quality department to resolve
quality issues; minimizing manufacturing costs; improving efficiency and ensuring compliance with
FDA and OSHA regulations.
• Implemented training matrix for all production employees to ensure training requirements
were met and plant was FDA compliant. Significantly reduced customer complaints through
thorough and repetitive SOP training.
• Increased production output 30% over past nine years through improved product
scheduling and more efficient use of equipment.

• Project Manager - Designed and installed two chemical vapor deposition reactors

coating on graphite.
