EXPERIENCE

Dana Corporation, Light Vehicle Division, Louisville, KY May

2010 -

Production Superintendent

o In charge of 78 production employees and 8 team leaders

o Responsible for 10 production lines along with a sub-assembly

department and a tube cut department

o Maintain production schedules for all 10 lines

o Utilize MRP software and E-Time payroll system

o In charge of new hire training program for first shift

o Responsible for all key performance indicators; Quality, Productivity,

Safety, Team Work, Morale, Housekeeping and Cost Savings

o In May 2010 the plant was working 6 days per week / 12 hours per day.

I have been instrumental in reducing overtime and increasing

productivity through cross training of all employees and stressing

quality at a higher level.

o The employees I supervise are UAW members. I have an excellent

rapport with the lead member of the local UAW. During my 19 months at

Dana I have not had any grievances filed due to disciplinary actions.

o Supervised 14 hourly employees and 3 team leaders

o Scheduled the repair of 90 progressive dies, 69 transfer dies & 88

Fineblank dies

o Control monthly expense budget:

. Reduced 2008 budget from $80K per month down to $67K/mo by the

end year 2008

. Reduced 2007 budget from $100K per month down to $80K/mo by the

end of yr Dec 2007

o Developed a Preventative Maintenance program for 289 moulding dies

. Resulted in a $25K reduction in tooling purchases over a 10

month period

. Accomplished by performing PM in a controlled environment where

o Reduced overtime 1.5 hours per day for 46 employees - estimated annual

savings $400K

o Reduced downtime and cycle time on several products resulting in the

reduction of 6 employees

o Started training classes for all press department employees resulting

in improved quality, reduced scrap and sorting costs

o Responsible for the operation of 6 large progressive presses and 4

small progressive presses

o Duties included: scheduling of the presses, controlling the training

1.25)

35 seconds)

Reduced Sigma cycle time 24% (from 55 seconds to 42 seconds)-resulted

in the elimination of one person per line
