> SUMMARY
Over 22 year's seagoing experience and a fully qualified
Ship's Master. Over 15 years experience in the Offshore Oil
and Gas Industry in a variety of positions from Project Co-
ordinator to OIM to Operations Manager.
Possess the unique experience of having worked in senior
positions in both, the Marine and the offshore industries and
therefore can be of invaluable assistance in synergizing FSO,
FPSO related projects, operations and management positions.
> WORK HISTORY
01st May 2012 to date: General Manager, with TRISHNA enterprises (India),
an emerging "Market Leader" in the state, dealing in onshore
Transportation, Storage & bulk-breaking of Hydrocarbon
Products.
01st July 2011 - to 29th March2012: OIM of FPU (MOPU + FSO Combined unit)
in Nigeria.
Brief Description of the Platform that I was last in-charge of:
The (MOPU) Platform was located at Offshore of Nigeria. The FPU - comprised
of the Production Platform and one FSO (1.3 MM Bbls storage capacity). It
was staffed by a Multinational staff with normally up to 5 different
nationalities on board.
Producing 50000 BPD of oil per day with 7 self flowing wells and 4 wells
with ESP's (Electric Submersible pumps) & 2 Water injection wells. Also had
one satellite platform under my control which included 5 Self flowing wells
and 1 water injection well.
Oil was stabilsed with two & three phase separation. Gas and produced
water were separated.
Separated Gas was further compressed and fed to Turbine as fuel, also used
for gas injection, gas lift etc.
There were three numbers
of Gas Compressors designed to handle upto 10 MMscfd gas with max pressure
of 1800 psig. Gas Compressors were designed to handle Gas lift and gas
injection requirements.
Produced water was separated and when within acceptable norms same put on
overboard through cassion or same could be stored on FSO and subsequently
disposed through a dedicated, approved monitoring system.
Water injection was designed to operate at 1850 psig with 40000 BPD. All
water injection parameters were closely monitored before commencing
injection.
Both HP and LP KOD system were designed as per the process conditions and
HP flare could handle 12 MM scfd gas at any given time.
Gas turbines (two numbers) were designed to operate at 3.5 MW power load
and designed
to operate on dual fuel - Gas and Liquid (Diesel).
Brief Description of normal duties, responsibilities as were handled:
Ensuring availability of the Platform (and all offshore facilities) at all
times for as maximum a time as possible as per terms of the governing
Contract.
Leadership in situations requiring Management Of Emergency Response.
Maintaining a good cordial relationship with the CAR (Client's appointed
rep) at all times.
Maintaining good & harmonious relationships with all of the other
Contractors who may be working in the field at any given time.
Ensuring good cooperation and relationships between all personnel on the
facility including sub-contractors.
Ensuring, Offshore Facilities reports being prepared and submitted to the
Company in a timely manner.
Designated keeper of the HSE MS for all the offshore facilities and their
operations:
Working closely in liaison with the HSEQA Department both onshore &
offshore.
This included the responsibility to ensure that the latest updates of the
FMS were available, in place and being implemented in day-to-day practice.
Also that an up to date Organogram was maintained on board indicating
current lines of reporting - both onshore & Offshore.
Furthermore, it included the preparation of timelines, plans & budgets
(both Maintenance & Production) for all activities of the offshore facility
ensuring minimum down time as were reasonably possible.
Identification of and addressing of any/all lapses or shortfalls including
non-compliances with the HSE MS and addressing of the same by way of
periodic & Annual reviews.
Rolling out of FMS Procedures and policies to employees and contractors by
way of regular & routine familarwasation meetings & suggesting of HSEQA
Incentive programs to the Senior Management onshore.
Periodic assessment of all staff (as per Company Policies), carrying out
TNA (Training Needs Assessment) and follow through of the same with the
training department onshore.
Responsible for conducting (or delegating the same to
responsible persons) - The Daily, Weekly, Monthly meetings as the case may
be per Company Policies.
Jan 2011 - July 2011: Senior HSSEQA & Operations Superintendent with
Multinational Offshore Oil & Gas Company.
April 2010 - Oct 2010: Consultant to & OIM with PTSC & PVTrans Offshore
(Vietnam) for FPSOs / FSOs.
Jan 2010 - March 2010: FPSO, FSO Consultant with PV Trans OFS, Vietnam
Attending to various Onshore & Offshore issues and advising
the principals on various aspects of offshore installations.
May 2007 - To Dec 2009: Operations Manager with MODEC, overseeing the
operations of their FSO's & FPSO's in Vietnam.
2006 Feb - May 2007 Operations Superintendent & OIM on an LPG - FSO with
Compass Engineering Ltd. Singapore.
Involved in conversion Project of LPG, VLGC
into an LPG - FSO.
2004 Jul- Nov 2005 Offshore Project Co-ordinator. -Prosafe Production

Co-ordinating with onshore and offshore Company and Client
Management, for the Water Injection upgrade and new Well Head
Tower hook up and commissioning activities onboard FPSO
Espoir, offshore Ivory Coast. Relieving the OIM, whenever
required by the Management to do so.
2002 - Jul 2004 (OIM) Offshore Installation Manager - PROSAFE
OIM on board the FPSO Nautipa offshore Gabon. Management of
the FPSO to Company and Client's established policies and
procedures. Mooring Master &/or Pilotage duties when required
to do so by the Management.
2001 May - Oct 2002 (OIM) Offshore Installation Manager - PROSAFE
OIM on board the FPSO Ruby Princess offshore Vietnam.
Management of the FPSO and Satellite Platform to Company and
Client's established policies and procedures.
1998 - 2002 Marine, HSE & Logistics Supervisor & (OIM) Offshore
Installation Manager. NORTRANS/ PROSAFE
Initially started off as Master of the FPSO Ruby Princess
during her conversion and refit in Singapore. After sailing
her to the Ruby Field offshore
In Sept 1998, took over the position of HSE Supervisor,
before being promoted to OIM in May 2001. Further, during
this period, was also attached to the production department
of the installation as a Trainee Production Superintendent,
wherein kept 'hands - on' process shifts, assisted in process
routine / breakdown maintenance and in the planning &
execution of the process plant's annual maintenance shut-down
and annual Class surveys. Also temporarily filled in for the
Process Superintendent as and when required.
1996 - 1998 Ship's Master / FSO OIM NORTRANS
Master on the FSO Endeavor including her reactivation,
sailing from Mobile (USA) to Singapore for conversion and
deployment at NORMOR mooring in the PY3 field, offshore
India.
1974 - 1996 Merchant Marine
Employed in the Merchant marine for a number of different
companies and attained the position of Master (Captain) in
1990. Worked exclusively on oil tankers since 1982.
