PROJECT
Designed and implemented low noise, low power two stage neural amplifiers for implantable active Radio-
Frequency Identification Sensors
o Power, area and gain optimization greatly improved the power efficiency
o High gain, low noise, low distortion and adjustable 3dB frequency realized by feedback capacitor and
current biased Pseudo resistor is achieved
o The designed bandpass amplifier consumes ultra-low power and is applied for real animal neural signal
testing
Developed low power Pipelined ADC for neural recording applications using IBM 180nm process
o Analyzed top level behavior of the system by Verilog-A model and determined the design specification
parameters in each stage
o Designed two stage folded cascaded Opamp with indirect compensation, comparators, ADC and DAC
structures, basic digital circuits
