service contracts saving $240,000 over five years. I was the primary grant writer for Susan B.
Komen and Women’s Wellness Connection bringing in an additional $100,000 per year in grant
monies. Implemented and guided transition to Nextgen HIS, Novarad Pacs/RIS, digital
mammography, Dexa and digital radiography. While director I increased the number of
employees, transitioned to zero call and zero overtime, crosstrained 6 technologist into
CT/MRI, and reduced our cost per procedure by 30 percent while increasing our patient service
ability and patient satisfaction scores. We routinely outperform NRC Picker in patient
satisfaction results.

provide administrative, technical oversight, scheduling and training. Complete
annual budget, capital budgets and planning including proforma and cost
analysis. Under my tenure we were able to save approximately $70,000 during
my first 8 months due to cost saving measure such as switching to suppliers with
better products at lower cost and greater efficiency and safety. We added Bone
Densitometry and provisionally adding Digital Mammography. Created new
and updated SOP and CQI initiatives.

oversight of three modalities within radiology department over the last eight

eight technologists such as pre-employment interviews, scheduling staff,
approving vacations / leave of absences, managing the Chronos system for
employees under my supervision, implementing employee administrative action
procedures as necessary. I completed annual budgeting requests, equipment

approval. During my tenure as CT/MRI/Dexa Coordinator I was directly
involved in two expansion projects adding a GE 1.5T MRI unit, Woman’s
Service area, New Nuclear Medicine room, Siemens Definition 126 slice CT and
a 40 slice CT for the Cancer Center. In addition during this time we transitioned
from film to Fuji PACS, added a new HIS/RIS Meditech interface system and
upgraded to Nighthawk teleradiology services.
Other ongoing tasks include creating and implemented department SOP, QA and
Performance Improvement initiatives, for my areas. Daily billing compliance
checks, and multiple cross training of technologist.
