Resume:

Dear Sir/Madam:

If you are looking for a strong, driven, and punctual, self-starting employee with a proven record of project coordination,

process improvement, innovative solutions, and works well with others, look no further. I hold a Bachelors of Science

degree in Civil Engineering Technology (ABET accredited) from South Carolina State University, where I graduated with

honors. My coursework at S.C. State extended further than the engineering discipline. While there I complete courses in

computer programming (C++ & Visual Basic), business management & administration, computer technology, and

technical writing.

I began my career in the aggregate field in May of 2006. The initial 16 months of my career were spent in a training program where I received hands on experience managing quarries. The program was structured to give me a strong background in administrative and clerical duties, human resources, personnel management, project management, planning, cost control, forecasting, and presentation skills related to the quarry industry. I strengthened my skills in Microsoft Office, electronic filing, problem solving, conducting presentations and conference calls, multi-tasking, and working with multiple employees on specific projects. As I began to gain experience I was able to use my analytical background to come up with innovative ideas for process improvement, efficiency, and created numerous Microsoft Excel programs to manage different aspects of the operations. I was rewarded for my efforts by receiving two

promotions within a six year period rising from Management Associate, to Foreman, to Assistant Plant Manager. As an Assistant Plant Manager I was able to present to the public during company open house programs and speak at the local Chamber of Commerce.

In conclusion, I feel that my education along with my valuable experience has prepared me for this position. Throughout my six year career I have been put in many new environments working with new people and have always met or exceeded the company’s expectations. One of my most prominent strengths is my ability to get a group of people to work together to achieve the company’s goal and improve moral while doing this. My biggest passion in the mining industry in safety. I hold an MSHA blue card which certifies me to train employees on mind safety hazards and have been a part of 14 MSHA site inspections. My vast experience covers managing and working

with all types of people, financial management, community relations, safety matters, proficient computer skills, written and oral presentations, and process improvement. I have a positive attitude, respectful, ethical, and believe I will be a valuable addition to your organization if given the opportunity. I look forward to hearing from you and thanks for your

time and consideration.

Respectfully Yours,

DaQuan “Quan” Jennings
