MY NAME IS PRADEEP.Y.D. I PURSUED MY BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING IN MECHANICAL

ENGINEERING FROM RAO BAHADUR Y MAHABALESHWARAPPA ENGINEERING COLLEGE,

BELLARY, KARNATAKA IN THE YEAR 2010. WE CONDUCTED A RESEARCH ON DIESEL

ENGINE WITH ACETYLENE AS ALTERNATE FUEL IN FINAL SEMESTER. THIS WORK

MOTIVATED ME TO MOVE TOWARDS THERMAL SECTOR. I PURSUED MY MASTER OF

TECHNOLOGY IN THERMAL POWER ENGINEERING FROM POOJYA DODDAPPA APPA

ENGINEERING COLLEGE, GULBARGA, KARNATAKA IN THE YEAR 2012. I CARRIED OUT AN

ANALYSIS PROJECT USING COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS TOOLS ON PIN FIN HEAT

EXCHANGER WITH POROUS PIN FINS IN THE FINAL YEAR OF MASTER OF TECHNOLOGY. I

COMPLETED CERTIFIED COURSE IN ICEM CFD AND FLUENT FROM IFS ACADEMY PUNE. I

WISH TO CONTINUE MY CAREER IN THE FIELD OF ENGINE DEVELOPMENT USING CFD

TOOLS AND TO BECOME GOOD CFD ANALYST IS MY AIM.

M.Tech Project: CFD Analysis of Forced Convection Heat Transfer in

Rectangular Channels using Porous Pin Fins

Solid pin fin heat exchanger enhances heat transfer rate while pressure

drop is more. So in order to improve heat transfer performance and to

reduce pressure loss porous pin fins may be used. In our project porous pin

fins & solid pin fins in rectangular channel with air as cooling medium is

analyzed using CFD and results of both pin fins are compared. The results

showed that more amount of heat can be transported away using porous pin

fins.

B.E Project: Performance of Acetylene in Dual Fuel Diesel Engine

The present fuel crisis has triggered off world wide search for non-

petroleum and renewable alternative fuels for IC engines. In this work, the

results of experimental studies carried out, with regard to performance,

fuel economy of diesel& diesel acetylene as IC engine fuel. Tests were

conducted on four stroke, single cylinder, constant speed, and fixed

compression ratio diesel engine using diesel as well as diesel acetylene.

Various parameters were noted & performance was compared.
