2011 to Present The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company Gadsden, AL

Area Manager

• Responsible for all operations concerning manufacturing components needed in the tire building

process including scheduling, preventative maintenance, and product uniformity within required

specifications.

• Implemented visual FIFO tag system to ensure components are consumed in the correct order

reducing component waste by 30%. Involved in problem solving teams to address other ways to

reduce waste and lower costs.

• Set expectation for production and held employees accountable to standards which in turn

brought the team from third to first overall in production out of four teams.

• Implemented daily safety meetings to address possible safety hazards people may overlook and

bring safety awareness to the forefront of team’s mind. Process was adopted plant wide.

• Developed tracking tools to show monthly productivity and waste trends between each

department and each machine in that department. Showed monthly and weekly trends between

machines and individual operators and focus areas for improvement taking into account machine

downtime due to maintenance issues.
