“PREDICTION OF SURFACE ROUGHNESS USING NEURAL NETWORKS”

-- The project involved to predict the values of surface roughness and compared with

experimental values in order to verify the efficiency of neural networks and results indicated that

predicted values are good agreement with the experimental values. An attempt was also made to

study the variation of surface roughness with respect to process parameters such as cutting speed,

feed, depth of cut, number of cutting edges and step over distance in end milling operation.
