Served as a company fire support for a mechanized infantry company forward deployed in the

CENTCOM Theater of Operation; assisted the Company Fire Support Officer in the planning,

coordination, and employment of all fire support assets. Established the fire support team headquarters,

in fire support tactics, techniques, and procedures. Responsible for nine personnel and equipment valued

Forward Observer / Fire Support Specialist November 2001 - May 2005

Forward Observer for an airborne infantry platoon with a mission of worldwide, no-notice deployment;

responsible for the coordination and execution of fire support assets to include field artillery, mortars,

naval gunfire, attack helicopters, and close air support. Advised the platoon leader on the capabilities,

limitations, and planning of indirect fires. Supervised and trained one radio telephone operator;

responsible for the maintenance and care of $17,000 dollars worth of equipment.
