This international Supplier to the automotive industry and environmental
component containers with 96 plants in 27
countries with it's BUNA headquarters in Troy, MI. The Automotive exterior
JIT facility in Duncan, SC and the
molding and paint facility in Anderson, SC supplies exterior components to
the BMW US operations. Reported to
the Supplier Purchasing Manager for the project team at the Duncan, SC
facility (305 employees).
Responsibilities Included:
. During the development phase, in accordance with the purchasing
strategies and the quality objectives of the
division, manage the technical risk, and ensure the quality of the
purchased POE parts for the project.
. Together with the project team, set up the suppliers project plans,
making sure that clear and complete
specifications and information are provided and maintained, ensure
the continuous validation of the suppliers
quality deliverables and assist and track the suppliers in this aim.
. Lead process audits (Run @ Rate) and issue product process acceptance
reports of the initial samples (ISAR),
ensuring on time PPAP from POE suppliers, and in the case of product
or service issues, issue and track NCNs
until closure.

industry with facilities in 18 countries and it's
North American headquarters in Troy, MI. The Automotive Seating JIT
facility in Fountain Inn, SC supplies front
seat assemblies to the BMW and Mercedes US operations. Reported to the
Corporate Director of Quality for the
Automotive Seating Division with 1 indirect report (365 employees).
Responsibilities Included:
. Acting as the corporate quality expert for all aspects of the program
launch including the development of quality
objectives, process and product design validation activities, process
quality optimization, and the completion of
program Quality Management plans.
. Acting as primary Customer quality contact through gate program launch
and up to series production handoff to
the JIT plant. This responsibility includes all program product and
process negotiations and direct interaction with
Customer Design Engineering, Customer Program Management, and
Customer Supplier Quality, regarding any
aspect of program quality.
. Identification of the initial program quality objectives (0 Km, Warranty,
and specific Customer quality indicators)

reduction in RMA / QR cost resulting in an estimated annual savings of
over 78K. During this same period
negotiated a reduction of over 1060 PPM and approximately 24K in related
IQ cost.
. Successfully launched seven Ford new vehicle programs and six model
change programs. Was invited by Ford
VO and STA group to be a member of the Ford Corporate Launch Team during
the "Ford Launch of the Decade", for the "New" 2004 Ford F150 P221
program. In this position I represented and assisted the exterior
component suppliers with color harmony, fit and assembly issues at
both the Ford KCAP and NAP facilities.
. Championed a joint Ford / Guardian Kaizen team following the 2004 F150 /
P221 launch resulting in a
combined annual savings of over 500 K per year.
. Developed a Quality Alert database for use as a communication toll at the
Guardian Morehead facility, that is
currently use at all Guardian trim facilities as well as by other
companies.
