Career Objective

I. Overall Working Experience
. Currently working as Deputy Manager (Bids) with RMSI Private Limited,
NOIDA, (since April 2007) being involved in the entire bidding life cycle
and project implementation for environment and disaster risk management
domains including climate change.
. Have worked as a Junior Research Fellow with the Central Pollution
Control Board (October 2005 - March 2007) in the Air Toxics Laboratory,
being involved in monitoring and analysis of hazardous air pollutants,
standardization of methodology for testing Volatile Organic Compounds and
Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (using GC), data interpretation and
training on measurement methodology.
. Also worked part-time with the Hindustan Times HT Pace Programme as a
workshop consultant wherein conducted workshops in schools on topics like
Disaster management, Water quality management, Environment Quality
Monitoring and Air Pollution management.
. Have worked as an Environmental Executive with Development Alternatives
(September 2003 - September 2005), a Delhi based organisation, for a
period of two years. In this position, I have had a great deal of
experience in handling urban & rural Environment improvement projects.
II. Details of Work Experience
. Conceptualising, Developing Proposals (solicited and unsolicited),
Presenting, acquiring funds - involved in all the phases of Proposal
Development.
. Involved in preparing project plans for effective project management,
involving in-house and external experts; client coordination; develop and
finalise project documentation; etc.
. Monitored ambient air quality in Delhi for volatile organic compounds and
other Air Toxics, including sampling and analysis by Gas Chromatography
. Analysed tenders for procurement of equipment for Air Toxics monitoring
and prepared comparative descriptions
. Coordinated a nation-wide (60 towns) programme on Environment assessment
(water and air quality monitoring), awareness & action (setting-up of
community solid waste management units) with the European Commission;
managing a huge network of NGO partners in various cities, schools,
government departments across India.
. Coordinated and involved in implementing water quality assessment and
management, environment education, and solid waste management projects
for key clients like the Department of Environment, NCT Delhi and Water
Aid.
. Designed and assisted in implementing monitoring and evaluation
procedures based on logical framework analysis.
. Designed, developed content and training modules, and conducted training
workshops for Government officials, NGOs, school and college students,
Communities, MES personnel and Teachers.
. Designed and conducted events (range of 1000 guests), making
presentations and representing at international forums for visibility and
awareness of environment-friendly initiatives like eco-friendly Holi,
jute and paper bags, and water quality management.
. Documentation development involving Resource Material (brochures,
posters, pamphlets, and awareness material on various environmental
issues and available tools), project reports and other deliverables like
presentations.

1) underwent a 1-month training at CPCB in March 2003 on water quality
monitoring procedures for different parameters.
2) conducted Contingent Valuation Questionnaire survey to assess the value
of FRI Estate, in Dehradun in 2002 - MoEF's study.
3) conducted a survey to assess the use & disposal scenario of polythene
bags at the household level in Dehradun in 2003. The study also included
creating awareness on the reuse & recycle of these bags.
4) worked with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) during
Aug - Sept.1999 in a city-wide workshop to check for the levels of air
pollutants emitted from two wheelers & issue 'PUC' certificates.
