Mazak Group Leader / Customer Support Engineer

Group leader to Mazak Integrex Dept. Mazak Integrex machines are integrated

CNC turning and milling machines with 6+ axis capabilities and live milling tools

with sub spindles for complex machining and the ability to machine complex parts

complete in one cycle. Involved in all phases of CNC programming, set up, and

supervision of operators and set up personnel. Primary products include medical

implants, aerospace housings and fittings, and miscellaneous machined

components; production runs to small run prototype runs. Involved in all CAD/CAM

functions. Primary CAD software includes Mastercam, Mazacam, and GeoPath.

Assistant to Plant Manager in job cost / estimating duties. Perform pricing and job

layouts, and machining RFQ’s for the medical and aerospace industries. Also

involved in purchasing machine tools, CNC machine purchases, and material

acquisition. Primary machined materials include high temp alloys, stainless steel,

titanium, & aluminum.

Involved in the implementation of manufacturing process control system (MPC) to

meet requirements of major aerospace manufacturer. Use basic 6 Sigma

approach to process control and lean manufacturing tec hniques to lower

production costs. Performed and written equipment validations/ EIOQ’s for

compliance to medical requirements as well as working in a cGMP compliant/ QSR

21 CFR Part 820 environment.

Marketing and web site maintenance. Responsible for putt ing together company

marketing efforts, working trade shows, and developing relationships and following

up with existing and potential clientele.

Set up and programming of specialized inspection equipment to include CMM and

vision inspection machines and a form tracing machine that all use specialized

software and coordinate measurements to inspect precision machined tolerances.
