functions of a DC motor, Identify the components of the brush

assembly. Make sure the charger is properly sized (matched) to the

battery it is charging.

o Be sure that the ampere hour rating is within 10% of the lift truck

battery it is charging. Check that the battery charger cables are not

damaged or showing heat damage.

o Charged and watered correctly, a forklift battery will last for years.

o Water your forklift batteries regularly with distilled or de-ionized

water to cover the plates inside the battery cells.

o Be sure to allow your battery to charge fully through the finishing

Air Compressor (Vertical/Horizontal) Inspection/Testing operations : The

vibrating engine and it will loosen its screws, nuts and bolts on a regular

basis. Be sure to check these periodically and tighten them up if you find

any that have jiggled loose. Check the filters regularly and change them if

you notice a heavy build up of dust and dirt. Change every six months or so

if you use it infrequently. Check heat exchangers are dirty then they can't

do their job, which is to reduce the operating temperatures of air

compressor. Clean them regularly to keep your operating temperatures down

and increase the life span of your air compressor.
