2 Professional Achievements
Research and Development Programs for many vehicle manufacturing firms.
Managed multifunctional groups to research new technologies and develop
business plans to present to directors for approval. During the research
and subsequent development of these programs I leveraged research
universities, corporations, and venture groups and ultimately implemented
over seven products into manufacturing.
Negotiated complex contracts with corporations and government entities to
assist in the development of these vehicle products. By setting up a
competitive and even playing field between more than one manufacturer of a
given technology or component, I was able to optimize the product, costs,
and scheduling for the development project.
Project Management through team building and leadership. My management
approach is simply treating people as family but holding them accountable
to their deliverables. I create a detailed timeline because you can't
achieve something without a target and to alleviate leaving out a key
component in the development process. My success centers on a walk around
style where I balance my deliverables with coaching others to achieve their
tasks.
