INDUSTRIAL EXPOSURE & PROJECT:
January 2012: Winter job in “Coal Bed Methane Exploration and Testing” in
Reliance Power (ADA Group), Shahdol district, Madhya Pradesh, India].
The training was focused on the Geology & Mechanism of CBM generation, Drilling
(Core & Non-Core Drilling), Desorption test of the cores, CBM well testing & Logging.
June 2012: Summer job in “Rig Equipments, Casing running-in and Cementing” in
Shiv-Vani Oil & Gas Exploration Services. [Operator: Oil and Natural Gas
Corporation].
The training was focused on the practical understanding of the Rig Equipments and
Operation of Casing Running-in & Cementing.
August’2012-May’2013: Project internship on “Drilling Fluids design & Mud
Hydraulics Optimisation” in Oil India Limited. The project was based on a detailed
practical field study on the functions, properties, types of drilling fluid and different
chemicals and additives that are need to formulate the mud. A detailed study is
done on Mud pumps and its associated components whi ch are very much essential
in drilling rig for circulating the mud. Also the calculations related to mud
engineering is done. The mud program & hydraulic calculations and its optimization
are very much stressed upon in this project as far as Drilling Engineering is
concerned with the help of real time data of a well located in Upper Assam Shelf.
