A degree qualified electrical engineer (BSc), a member of IET (MIET), Ifl

(Institute for Learning) and also a member of Grimsby Institution of

Engineers and Ship-builders (GIES) with a practical and flexible approach

to work.

With vocational competency in Programmable Logic Controllers, I have a

proven track record of hands-on Engineering Management in both car and food

. Starting afresh as a multi-skilled Engineer, I moved on to managing

the Engineering and Maintenance department after about six months.

. Responsible for all Electrical and Mechanical Faultfinding,

Repairing, Service and maintenance of the machines such as

Industrial Mixers, Blenders, Polar- Cup ( Sandwich Filling two axis-

robot)

. Engineering the problems out, ensuring that all the machines and

equipment are in good working condition.

. Preparing the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule of each

machine and making sure they get implemented on a regular basis.

. Modifying the operation of the sandwich-filling robots to minimize

the waste of fillings when cups were missing.

. Overall supervision of the engineering department.

. PLC (Mitsubishi) Faultfinding, editing, modifying or programming

when and if necessary.

. Preparing purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers to get the

components and devices delivered on time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

. Starting as a multi-skilled Engineer, I moved on to a hands-on

management position of a large Engineering and Maintenance

department of about 36 engineers of various biased including

Electrical / Electronics and Mechanical degree qualified engineers,

during which period I managed to achieve the followings;

. Installing and programming an automated car production line from

scratch including 10 Spot-Welding Robots (Natchi / Hyundai type),

shuttle line, conveyors, and all the peripheral equipment such as

P.L.Cs (Mitsubishi A3, Siemens S7 & S5), A.F.M s (Automatic Feeding

Machines), Manual spot-welding guns, Hemming Presses, and A.C Motor

Drives (Inverters).

. Optimizing the production line so the maximum production and minimum

downtime were achieved.

. Preparing the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule for each

individual machine and the system as a whole and implementing them

regularly.

. Ensuring that all the machines and equipment are always in good

working condition.

. Having the responsibility of all the electrical and mechanical

installation of machines and equipment, faultfinding, repairing,

calibrating, editing, modifying and programming the Robots and P.L.C

s when and if necessary.

. Having the responsibility of the above mentioned project management

as well as executing the tasks physically.

. Developing a training manual for the whole line as a system for

operators and engineers to follow.

. Developing and producing a step-by-step instruction for operation of

each machine individually and the whole line as a system. (These got

laminated and installed on the machines)

. Training the Engineering Maintenance team and trainees as to how to

operate, maintain and repair each individual machine and the system

as a whole including; Faultfinding, Repairing, Calibrating, and

programming of the Spot-Welding Robots, faultfinding of P.L.Cs,

Conveyors, Hemming Presses, and all the other equipment in the

workshop.

. Training the operators as to how to operate the system and how to

handle minor faults indicated by signal lamps and sirens.

. Preparing reports of projects progress and handing them to the

direct manager.

. I was also responsible for supervising and overseeing a sub-

contracted operation for BMW in Germany involving overall

supervision of members of staff and responsibility for the

same.

Educational Qualifications:

. PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) from the University of

Huddersfield (2006-2008), (This is equivalent to a master's degree

from the USA, according to Education International, an American

corporation specializing in evaluation of foreign education and

training, established in1977).

. BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering (1992-1995)

. HND (Associate Degree) in Electrical Engineering (1988-1990)
