NEW BETHESDA HOSPITAL (STUDIED AND WORKED)

The New Bethesda Hospital is a 250 bedded multi- specialty, secondary care referral and a

modern Mission Hospital with the following departments: Medicine, Surgery & Orthopaedic

Surgery, Obtetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics & Paediatric Surgery, Accident Emergency &

Trauma care, ENT, Dental, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia, Community Health . The total number of

outpatient attendence is about 400 every day and every year more than 1,20,000 were treated.

Among them, the new patients are about 20,000 and repeat patients are about 1,00,000.

Emergency and Accident Relief Centre

Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has planned emergency and accident relief centers

all over Tamil Nadu in National Highways to provide immediate relief to accident victims. Our

Hospital has been requested to take care of the Centre at Putthukovil. An Ambulance has been

provide by Government and promised to meet the recurring expenses towards salary of Staff and

supplies for the Project upto Rs.50,000/- every month. Sessions to update Doctors and Nurses on

Wednesdays and Thursdays respectively every week.

Intensive Care Unit manages all acute medical emergencies like poisoning, drowning and

neurological disorders. There are a wide range of conditions managed from chronic disease to life-

threating emergencies

Christian Medical College is one of the standardized hospital in Asia. It is a private

University Teaching Hospital (Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Medicines). College of Nursing
