• Carried out a project on “DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF JIG &

FIXTURE FOR BOGIE FRAMES” in 8th Semester.

Project Spot : INTERGAL COACH FACTORY – PERAMBUR

Project Description:

The welding fixture here is designed for Jigs and fixture for assembly of damper

bracket for Kolkata metros and alternator bracket for AC bogie frames. A single

assembly Jig and fixture is designed for those parts to be welded in specified

dimensions and easily. The estimated time with the fixture is less than manual methods

which involves high skilled labour and more time. The fixture designed is analyzed

and the process planning and cost estimation and time study is done.

MINI PROJECT

• Carried out a project on “Design and Fabrication of power generation using

speed brake” in 6th semester.

Project description:

The objective of this project is to generate power using speed brake. During vehicles

move speed brake mechanical motion created. This motion is converted in to electric power

and this power is stored in the battery.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

• Undergone a week’s training in an integrated thermal plant “ATHERM

THERMAL SOLUTIONS” where the training was given in all the major

departments quality control department, manufacturing department, testing section &

HR. And also had hands-on-training in workings of furnace and other thermal devices.
