2010 to Present-InTown Suites-Engineering 1 – Did daily rounds, keeping parking lot clean, checking
stair well for debris and constantly checking as well for cob webs or other pest problems to keep the stairs
in good working condition. Kept a log of guests work orders taking care of the most severe first and
making sure that all guests work orders are handled accordingly. Often look over RTS (Rooms Ready to
Sell) list to make inspections of beds (for bed bugs), air conditions (taking out the filters for cleaning also
inspect it to see if it’s working properly) walls if they need to be painted, the carpet for vacuuming, steam
cleaning and stain removal, also checking light fixtures, refrigeration repair, checking the bathrooms for
any damages (such as toilets– flushing and not overflowing. Make sure there are no rust corrosion and/or
leaks). Bathtubs-Checking the drain to make sure that it is not clogging as well as the sinks. Pressure
wash steps and breezeways. Change lights bulbs and often checked smoke detectors to determine battery
life. Changing electrical outlets, repair leaks in sinks, toilets or replacing them all together. Hanging
sheetrock, cleaning and replacing carpet. Knowledgeable in painting, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical
and OSHA standards.
2000 to Present Big South Movers -Driving a moving truck, relocating customers furniture from one
location to another. Disassemble beds, mirrors, from dressers; prepared all furniture to be loaded onto the
trucks as an allocated task. Loading all furniture on a inventory sheet, unloaded and unwrapped furniture
to take into customers homes. Handle payments via cash, credit card or cashier checks. Also manage
payroll, marketing tools and company website. Manage hiring, training, coach and counseling, problem
resolution, discipline and terminate. Handle customer complaints moving issues.
1995 to 2000 Chattanooga Marriott-Rooms Service IRD Handle guest orders as they are reported.
Make sure food cart is clean and presentable linen with a tray and arranged with all the condiments. Made
sure all orders were entered correctly, room numbers and guest names were verified for accurate billing
and delivery. Often checked floors for used trays for removal and made sure side work was done.
Restocked, polished silverware and rolled for next shift.
1992 to 1995 Marriott Marquis AM Bellman Duties Include greeting guest as they entered and
exited the hotel, assisting guest with their luggage to and from their rooms, delivery of important
documents to guests rooms and recommendations of local restaurants, shopping areas or any attractions in
the city.
1991 to 1992 PM Bellman Omni Hotel Taking care of the number one priority is the Guest and all
related tasks such as distributions literature to guest rooms during major conventions, helping guest with
their luggage to and from their rooms and assisting them with recommendations to restaurants and events
in the area. Transportation arrangements. Knowledge of the city. Staying aware of guests needs,
remembering and using guests names to welcome them back to the hotel. Greeting the guest with a smile
and being approachable to make it comfortable for them.
