IT Consultant
• Serviced clients in the NYC and Long Island areas for any/all their IT needs. This included new workstation
and server installs, basic router and switch administration, patch management, and any SW/HW upgrades as
requested. Also setup VPN, remote access, and wireless access points.
• Supported clients with everyday Help Desk/Desktop Support calls with issues such as virus removal and
connectivity problems. Also trained users on basic login procedures, connecting from outside the office, and
learning how to use MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Also created “how to” documentation for clients on
the above procedures as well.

Network Engineer Consultant
• On a part time basis, I take on network upgrade projects from Von Tech. Mainly I do router upgrades and
installs for all of the Sears and Kmart stores on the East Coast.
• Configuration and implementation of a wide variety of Cisco routers and switches.
• The testing and configuration of new T1T3 circuits to provide WAN connectivity and network redundancy.

Desktop Support Consultant
• Senior member of project team that upgraded all of the firms clients from Win XP to Win 7, as well as the
transition from Office 2003 to 2010, and their Document Management System from DOCSOpen to Filesite.
Supported and fixed any problems related to the upgrade.
• The day to day support of any SW or HW issues on the client side, including any level II and III Desktop
Support calls forwarded over from their Help Desk. Also was responsible for the audio/video setup of
conference rooms, and the imaging and support of the “loaner” laptop pool.
Freshfields, Bruckhaus, Derringer LLP, New York, NY Dec/10 – Mar/11
IT Consultant
• Technical Support for all the firms attorney’s and staff in the NY and Washington DC offices. This included
the support of all the firms’ standard and legal applications, as well as any HW/SW issues in a specialized
legal environment. Bi-weekly travel to the DC office for their support.
• Administration of BES server and the setup of Blackberry’s and support of any issues related to them. In
charge of giving out loaner laptops and supporting those users remotely when needed. Basic administration
of PBX system and the setup of VOIP phones for new and existing users.

Junior Network Admin Consultant
• Responsible for all Help Desk calls for the 5 schools within the district. Would fix problems remotely, and if
need be travel to the client site to fix any level II or III problems. Administration of all wireless access
points, and created all library, and PC/Laptop images for the schools.

NICE Systems, New York/NY Nov/07 – June/08
Lead Systems Engineer Consultant
• Worked on implementing the new 911 system for the NYPD and FDNY. Team member that was responsible
for the installation, support, and maintenance of over 100 blade servers in a heterogeneous Win 2003 Server
environment.
• Duties included using VPN to fix issues at different DMARC’s throughout NYC, going over SNMP traps on
the network, and taking care of any/all issues shown in the daily logs. Took care of any HW/SW client side
issues, and did System Administration of entire network that included more than 1000 XP machines on
different domains using Active Directory.

Lead Systems Engineer Consultant
• Member of NG’s site support group. Responsible for every level of Help Desk/Desktop Support fixing
everyday client side issues for two of their plants.
• Responsible for the installation and maintenance of the company’s desktop/laptop images, as well as
supporting and figuring out all types of application related issues with XP, NT4, MS Office, and DOD related
applications.
Shearman & Sterling LLP, New York/NY Feb/98 – Apr/06
Senior Application Integration Specialist III
• Traveled to and supported all of the firms Litigation applications worldwide, both server and client side, and
provided 3rd level support 24/7. Included setting up of the servers, the creation of customized pushes for the
clients, and then supporting those clients remotely once installed.
• Responsible for Litigations server maintenance, and for training the local System Administrators so they can
support their local offices, Would perform annual upgrades and patch management of all the firms domestic,
European, and Asian litigation servers and clients.
• Integrated into the firm’s infrastructure CSA-Cisco Security Agent, supporting both server and client pieces.
Ownership of project and responsible for the installation and setup of CSA on every desktop/laptop for
Shearman worldwide. Everyday duties included the creation of application groups, “allowance” rules,
policies, and agent updates on all client machines.
• Was in charge of researching all new technology that might be beneficial to the firm. Would make
recommendations on technology for the firm going forward. Evaluation of new desktops, laptops, and
peripherals, and writing up reports to the firm on what they should choose for upgrades.
• Was project lead on several of the firm’s operating system upgrades, traveling and successfully upgrading the
firms London, Paris, Toronto, San Francisco, Menlo Park, and DC offices.
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the firm’s litigation desktop and laptop images.
• Was in charge of all the support for Shearman’s litigation technology, and was Litigation Support’s “liaison”
into the IT side of the firm.
Was originally hired to be on-site as a consultant for Shearman in 97 as a System Administrator, but
after a year’s worth of work contracting, I was bought out and Shearman hired me to become a full time
employee.
