COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Love Our Children Inc. - Coordinated and organized the Annual Christmas Toy
and
Back to School Backpack Give-a-Way in Duarte and Ontario; Supervised
volunteers to stuff backpacks and feed more than 600 children; directed
community volunteers with the distribution of Thanksgiving Turkey
Dinners. LOC is a non-profit organization formed to assist economically
disadvantaged children and families. Received the Outstanding
Humanitarian Award - 2011
Set For Life Organization - Senior Educator and Training for Living
Informed Futures Created and implemented non-profit organization focused
on unbiased information and education of the elderly, including Health
Care, Predatory Lending, Reverse Mortgages, Financial Fitness and Living
Trusts.
New Beginnings Family Church - Spearheading "A Season of Giving" for the
upcoming holiday season of 2009. I selected a family out of three
homeowners to be chosen for an extreme home makeover. A crew of 40-50
people consisting of a construction, electrical, carpentry and interior
designers gave the family home a fresh start that was very much needed.
Southern California Black Chamber of Commerce - President of SGV Branch
