Major "Crack Detection Robot" (Final Year BE Project)

Project Synopsis: The Project proposed an inspection system for detecting

cracks in pipes which carry high temperature and pressurized gases.

It consisted of a mobile platform with webcam, pressure and

temperature sensor mounted on it. The cracks in the pipes were

detected by sensing the temperature and pressure changes due to the

leak from the pipe. The communication of the robot to the laptop

was maintained by a wireless transceiver zigbee. The information

obtained from the sensors was sent to the micro-controller, which

in turn was sent to the laptop via zigbee transceiver for

interpretation and analysis by the user.
