regarding operation and maintenance of Rimrock Die Casting
extractors/reciprocator sprayers/ladles/robots. Class structure
aimed at guiding a senior technician to be in the position of
mentoring others in the proper operation and maintenance of
Rimrock Equipment.
2. Sullair Air Compressor repair training, week long training
seminar concentrating on repair and maintenance of Sullair Screw
Compressors/Air Dryer maintenance and repair. Fundamentals of
Screw Compressor operation, troubleshooting and repair of
compressor, air drying systems.
3. Fitzpatrick Electric - Allen Bradley SLC 500 basic
programming and troubleshooting of Allen Bradley PLC
equipment.(3) day seminar aimed at bringing techs up to speed on
getting online with PLC and the basic steps toward understanding
of the operating system and how it could be used for machine
troubleshooting. Basic theory of PLC programming, understanding
of inputs, outputs, counters, timers, bits and words and how
they all correlate and can be used to control and monitor
production equipment.
4. Fitzpatrick Electric - (2) day seminar on RS 500 and RS 5000
basic troubleshooting and programming techniques. Refresher for
RS500, and what changes have been made between the RS500 and
RS5000 and basic understanding of RS5000 software, its use and
application. Introduction to RS5000 programming software
emphasizing troubleshooting and basic programming format to help
aid in the day to day troubleshooting and repair of equipment
utilizing the Allen Bradley RS5000 product.
5. Performance Maintenance Solutions - (3) day seminar on
maintenance application and troubleshooting/repair of hydraulic
and pneumatic systems. Component selection, cylinder application
and selection, hydraulic system basic design, filtration,
pressure relief, pressure reducing, P.O. Check Valves selection
and operation. Pneumatic systems actuator selection and design,
troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic systems, along with
symbol identification and reading hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
6. ABB Robot (5) day introduction to programming/maintenance on
S-3/S-4 ABB Robots. Basic programming functions explained
regarding getting robot out of trouble situations in day to day
operations and basic programming options troubleshooting
fundamentals. By the end of the class it was required to put
basic program together on training robot for test/evaluation.
Textbook, and hands on training included designed toward getting
maintenance personnel more familiar with the basic operation as
it applies to troubleshooting.
7. Euchner USA - Completion of Euchner Machine Guarding Safety
Course. Impacts of machine guarding on productivity including
changes in Osha, Miosha regulations. Explanation of single
channel, dual channel safety circuits, and proper application of
safety relays and how/why they are used.
