(Afghanistan)

. Promoted from Deputy to Manager after 8 weeks with the company.

. In charge of the commercial reserve of 22 million litres of both

aviation and ground fuels.

. Compiles daily reports and runs accounts for the 2 x storage yards

where the fuel is kept.

. Ensures batch control and liaises with lab to get any required testing

done to ensure the fuel is in spec.

. Co-ordinates every logistical aspect of all issues and receipts of

fuel all over Afghanistan from these facilities.

. Regularly checks on the inspection teams and facilities to ensure

smooth running and quality assurance of the operations are being

conducted.

. Co-ordinated deliveries of up to 5million litres to the one location

in a single order.

. Deputises for the Regional Manager when he is unavailable or on

holiday.

. Written numerous Site Specific Instructions (SSI's) and Standard

Operating Procedures (SOP's).

. Ensures all the Afghan workers in the department and the storage

. Managing a team of fuel operators ensuring all fuel operations run

smoothly and all issues are made to the UN at

various locations in arduous conditions within Chad.

. Liaise with the local oil refinery ensuring that all deliveries are

made to all PDLToll locations within country.

. Ensure all stocks are up to spec and rotated accordingly.

. Liaise with the fleet manager, keeping all tankers at a roadworthy

capacity ensuring that all deliveries are met.

. Ensure all the daily stats are collated for jet fuel and ground fuel,

ensuring they are all correct and sent off to the accounts department

for analysis.

. Refuelling of UN Aircraft fixed wing and helicopters on a daily basis

ensuring all safety regulations are adhered to.

. Testing of aviation fuel on a daily basis ensuring that all fuel meets

the correct specifications.

. Closing of numerous fuel sites within theatre dealing with all

logistic and transport issues.

1997 - April 2010 Petroleum Operator to Manager (Sergeant), HM Forces

(Royal Logistics Corps)

* Working as a Petroleum Operator to Petroleum Manager and Chemical

Laboratory Assistant, promoted three times while undertaking

comprehensive training and gaining extensive experience and

proficiency in all aspects of the petroleum industry.

* Managing and motivating a team of up to sixty-five, ensuring their

welfare while delivering an efficient service under diverse

operational conditions.

* Designed several upgrading petroleum courses for junior personnel and

ensured they ran smoothly by being the Chief Instructor. These

courses included a wide range of testing in theory and practical

practices within the petroleum industry.

* Managed fuel depots and provisioned for all units in both Bosnia and

Belize to all health & safety regulations and account procedures

ensuring quality control and surveillance of the fuels and lubricants
