Coordinate Measuring Machine Programmer
Gestamp, CHATTANOOGA, TN (2010-PRESENT)
Responsible for first article; in process, and engineering change, inspections. Perform
capability and gage R&R studies for stampings and assemblies. Work closely with the
design and engineering departments to ensure components and assemblies are inspected
on time and according to customer requirements. Typical duties include: assessment of
blueprints with comparison to CAD, complete dimensional inspection of components and
assemblies, utilizing the required precision measuring equipment. Proficient in PC-dmis
CMM programming and operation.
Quality Supervisor
CARSON-INDUSTRIES Inc., CHATTANOOGA,TN (2008-2010)
As a quality supervisor for a major department of defense supplier of night vision and
weapon mount systems, responsibilities included the planning, development, and
integration of receiving, in process, calibration, and final inspection systems. Functioned
as the lead inspector for all supplied machined and composite materials. This position
involved working very closely with suppliers and the department of defense to insure
documentation and government specifications were met. Responsible for the
development and implementation of non destructive testing, leak testing and complex
dimensional measurement of supplied and assembled systems. CMM programming PC-
dmis.
Project Coordinator
TENNESSEE RAND, CHATTANOOGA, TN (2005- 2007)
Hired specifically to coordinate the build and integration process of robotic weld and
assembly systems. Processes include: design review, machining, welding, assembly and
on site integration. Liaison between customer, engineering and production to ensure final
product meets all customer quality requirements.
Senior Metrologist
SW MANUFACTURING, DALTON, GA (1998- 2005)
As a Tier 1 manufacturer for Toyota, Mitsubishi, Suburu, Isusu, and Hyundai;
responsibilities included: Complex dimensional inspection, destructive testing, gage
calibration, and quality support of the Engineering, Maintenance, and Tool & Die shop
operations. Our products included: window regulators, door locks, doorframes, and seat
components. Operating in a strong Lean Manufacturing environment following Toyota
Production System principles; brought in new product lines on time, and meeting all our
customers 'quality inspection requirements. Also implemented a previously non-existent
gage calibration system and championed the quality laboratory through QS9000
certification. Solely responsible for all CMM programming.
