Summary I attended San Antonio College for a year and then transferred to Our
Lady of the Lake University where I studied for two years. My major was Social
work. In applying for this position I know that I can be use my skills I learned in
school. Speaking to people in the upmost professional respect. Answer questions to
the best of my knowledge. Objectives I hope to become even better with my
customer service skills. I love working with the public. I know how diffuse a
disgruntled person. I know how to remain professional at all times. I know that I

Education: John F. Kennedy HS, Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio,
Texas Graduated: June 1982 Grade: 12 I attended OLLU for 2 years from 1992-
1994. While I attended I studied criminal law, social work, Spanish, statistics,
speech, math, English and religion. I attended full time during the weekends. I also
interned at the Bexar County Jail interviewing unstable inmates. I really enjoyed
doing that. I gained valuable people person skills. I've been complimented by many
people that I am very friendly and pleasant.
Employment History:
AVANCE: 1986-1990
I worked as a Homvisitor. I was assigned a case load of 25 families and was
responsible for their well being. I lined up Doctor's Appts. delivered diapers, food
from the food bank, and helped with everyday paper work and assisted in paying for
their bills. It was a wonderful and fufilling job. My job was terminated because the
Govt. had only funded us for 4 years.
Travel by Design: Sept.1990-1994
I worked for Travel by Design for 4 years. I started off as a receptionist because of
my bilingual abilities. The Agency had clients from Peru, Mexico, El Salvador and
local's. Our company President was our former Mayor Lila Cockrell. We had high
end clientel and we had to make sure everything was detailed the way the customer
wanted. I worked up the ladder. I got promoted to Lesiure Agent and eventually a
business and commercial agent. I really enjoyed my time there. Unfortunately the
agency went out of business.
Leon Valley ES: August 2009 November 2012:
I was a Front office Clerk. The company was with Northside ISD San Antonio,
Texas. I really enjoyed working in the front office. I had many jobs while employed
with Northside. I worked at Leon Valley ES. My duties were to answer the phone,
greet parents and students, and to enroll new students. I did all of the clerical work
such as filing and keeping schedules and appointments for my Vice Principal and
Principal. I also translated for my vice principal due to the fact that she did not
speak Spanish and Leon Valley is a Bilingual school. I also helped the nurse when
she took her lunch break. I administered meds and took care or minor injuries. My
job also included working with SEMS, a system that would help me book
Substitutes when teachers were absent. I made all the copies and flyers. I am very
comfortable with multi-tasking. I love keeping busy.
Leading Edge Temp. Agency February 13, 2013 - Present
I am currently employed by Leading Edge. It is a temp. agency. I've had the
opportunity to work for Davidson, Freedle,a CPA tax agency, during tax season.
My other assignment was with Bimbo Bakeries U.S.A. my assignment consisted of
administrative work, filing and organizing files. I love fast paced assignemts. I
recently temped at Hill Country Retreat greeting clients, assisting Realtors with calls
and making sure the client felt at home.
Professional Skills: Excellent communication skills, answer multi-phone lines,
filing, copying, faxing, scanning, research, people friendly, very organized, and
detail oriented.
Hobbies & Interests: I enjoy reading, spending time with my 3 children. I am a
great cook and enjoy trying out new recipes. I love to pamper my dog Chuy. I enjoy
going out to dinner with friends. I am a movie buff. My main passion is creating
jewelry. I really like to give them as gifts to family and friends. They always come
back for more. I participate in walks for Breast Cancer, Autism, Leukemia, and
Diabetes.
