Served as a Production Manager in an extremely fast paced nuclear environment.

The following SAP screens were utilized for planning, purchasing, receiving and inventory functions

with a forward scheduling set-up.

o COOIS – Displaying planned orders. Reports were output to excel for expanded reporting.

o CO02 – Entering production orders and purchase order requests. Viewing production order

details

o MB51 – viewing goods movements. Reports were output to excel for expanded reporting.

o MB52 – used to run inventory reports. Reports were output to excel for expanded

reporting.

Used Lean Principles to improve shop floor productivity. This was accomplished by rearranging

Managed department responsible for proper production and release of all metal melted at RTI’s

two melting facilities.

Created, maintained and updated all melting specifications used for the melting processes.

Responsible for troubleshooting all melting issues.

Served a quality function over all raw materials used for melting.

Served as Team Leader and Facilitator for most continuous improvement activities associated with

melting.

o Utilized Value Stream Mapping to define waste and identify IT opportunities within the

Melt Control Department. This yielded two productivity gaining IT projects that were

successfully implemented.

o Used Lean Principles to reduce Melt Control ingot release time for standard grade material

by 60%.

o Applied the Six Sigma process to reduce oxygen defects, an industry wide issue, by 50%.

Participated in customer and ISO audits.

Served as a member of the Technical Support Group for RTI’s Titanium Group.

Managed and maintained SPC data for both melt facilities.

Ran the chemical testing lab for 14 months performing all machine operations and maintenance.

Used SAP “batch management” system to perform production, purchasing, quality and inventory

furnace.
