September 2011 – Present

I am working as a safety professional on several sites that Kvaerner does maintenance and

capital projects.

I perform daily safety audits, task planning meeting, job hazard analysis, safety meetings,

coach crew members on at risk behaviours and praise for the good work habits, perform first

aid, help with customer permits and company permits, attend meetings, do lock out tag out

and many other functions a safety professional would do to support the project team.

Aker Construction, INC. – Maidsville, WV. (Longview Power Plant)

July 2007 – August 2011

This project is a super critical coal fire power plant (700MW)

On this project, I am the Electrical Manager that is responsible for the management of the

electrical sub-contractors (4 separate contractors) and at times stepping in as the General

Superintendent. The responsibilities are scheduling, maintaining the schedule, the

coordination of all ECC (start-up packages - electrical) to be turned over to commissioning,

coordinating the completion of all punch list items - electrical, participating in job meetings

(plan of the day meeting, scheduling meetings, commissioning meetings, turn over meetings,

update meetings, man power meetings, meetings with the owner for any and all deficiencies in

the design of the job scope and design drawings, punch list meetings), set up of temp power

and maintenance (direct hire – 42 men), coordination between crafts, man power discussions

with sub-contractor, organizing the electrical works of the project, contract understanding,

follow up of all installations, switchgear, MCC, DCS, non-seg bus, isophase bus duct and all

transformers. I am responsible for proper installation and the following of all job specifications

and notes to properly install all of the above IBEW related equipment. The aspect of this job

requires good people skills, computer knowledge, multi-tasking, coordinating, understanding

the flow and process of the erection of the job and reading the project plans.

I am goal oriented and safety conscious. I work well with others to get the end result. I follow

directions and always wanting to improve my skills and work related chores. I am on the ZIP

team (Zero Incident Process) which works with all individuals on site to help understand the

human brain in the way people think and process the hazards on the project, SAFETY FIRST.

Aker Kvaerner Songer Inc. – Council Bluffs, Ia. (Mid-American Energy Power #3)

December 2003- July 2007

and all transformers. I am responsible for proper installation and the following of all job

specifications and notes to properly install all of the above IBEW related equipment. The

Kvaerner Songer, Inc. – Lebec, CA (Pastoria Power Plant)

Lead Electrical Superintendent at Calpine Corporations’ 750 megawatt power plant in

Bakersfield Ca. Responsibilities include overseeing direct hire work of electrical and all trades

in different phases of the project, planning, ordering, communication, running craft meetings

everyday,schedules,budgets,security,preservation of equipment for the project, communication

with vendors, start up and monitoring of energized equipment and RFI’s. Additional

responsibilities include setup and support of temporary power, lighting, telephone system,

extra work / project variances and all craft issues / activities on this project.

Contra Costa Electric – McKittrick, CA

Electrical General Foreman

July 2001 to Dec 2001

General Foreman at PG&E’s, National Energy Group, La Paloma Power Plant (5 one on one

combined cycle gas turbines). Responsibilities at this 1,048 megawatt power plant include

installation of lightning protection, essential power for buildings and grounding for the

administration building and control room.

Adamson Electric – McKittrick, CA

Electrical General Foreman

Dec 2000 to July 2001

Elk Hills Power Plant – Foreman and General Foreman

550 megawatt power plant for Sempra Energy. Completed underground conduit 1/2” thru 6”,

ground grid and temporary power.

Sunrise Power Plant – Foreman and General Foreman

320 megawatt power plant for Chevron Texaco. Worked on the project from beginning to start

up doing conduit 1/2” thru 6”, wire pulls, terminations, planning, man power, communication

with owner, start up, G.E. work, layout and preservation.

July 1992 to Sept 2000

As a Journeyman Wireman I did all aspects of electrical work. As a Foreman and General

Foreman I managed multiple street and traffic signal projects, libraries, an Amtrak station,

oilfield work and work on various industrial plants. Working at A-C Electric included working as

a team, planning and office work.
