Senior Manager - Supply Chain Operations - Enterprise - 2007 - 2013
Manager of the Supply Chain Project Management (SCPM) function.
Managed 15 Project Managers in 5 countries having responsibility for
driving all aspects of the SCPM function for Operations: New Product
Introduction, Service (capacity and delivery), Product Cost Reduction,
Quality, Inventory Levels, Product Transfers between suppliers and
ongoing Operational product life-cycle management. Worked in parallel
as the prime for Product Rationalization, which was the task of
reducing product codes to optimize the overall product offerings.
Product Cost Reduction leader - Reporting directly to the Chief
Procurement Officer, coordinated the activities for all product related
cost reduction efforts related to $1B in spend for procured hardware
and software. Produced weekly analytics and presentations to multiple
levels of executive management.
Prime for product rationalization / optimization initiative. Working
with McKinsey & Co., evolved and executed plan for ongoing review and
consolidation of products and codes.

Accountable for driving Quality, Service levels, Capacity, and Cost
reduction thru management of the Test and Product Engineering
functions. Drove Operational deliverables in support of these key
metrics within NPI and Sustaining programs. Managed technical
interface into the Contract Manufacturing supply base.
ISO 9001 / TL 9000 Prime for Supply Chain processes. Produced required
control documents and support data. Focal point for governing body
audits.
Acquisition Prime for due diligence activity related to Technical
Operations. Reviewed all process capability, quality performance, and
technical aspects of potential acquisition targets to assess viability
of incorporation into Nortel.
Component Engineering Manager 1997 - 2001
Managed a team covering all commodities from a technical perspective;
implemented cross-functional commodity teams, technology roadmaps, NPI
processes and project support (commodities included: Semiconductor,
ASICS, memory, power management, LED's, logic devices, PCB's,
interconnect, mechanicals, etc.).
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager 1996 - 2001
Managed AME (Advanced Mfg Eng) function in support of NPI processes for
Networking Equipment launch into production. Concurrent engineering
with Design, Quality, Production Supplier, Primary technical
aspects related to Printed Circuit Board DFX (Design For "X") and
layout, sheet metal and plastics, electromechanical, packaging, and
identification and control for process control, storage and
