Cable and Wire Installation, Kabul, Afghanistan, 2010-2011

• Day to day mission was responding to trouble tickets for Classified or Unclassified Port

Activations, Installation of Category 5(CAT 5E or CAT 6), Fiber Optic, Copper and

Maintenance

• Due to constant expansions on the base and neighboring bases, was involved in many cabling

projects in which my team and myself purpose was to ensure these new buildings and/or living

areas had communication support

Cable and Wire Installation, Kabul, Afghanistan, 2006-2008

• Member of a Direct Signal Support Team (DSST) forward deployed, Afghanistan; providing

mission critical strategic communications to Combined Forces Command (CFC-A), Combined

Security Transition Established SECRET security clearance. Command-Afghanistan (CSTC-

A), International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), Combined Joint Task Force-76 (CJTF-76),

and U.S. Embassy, servicing over 1,500 personnel in support of Operation Enduring Freedom

(OEF).

• Team lead on the Cable and Fiber Installation Team with the completion of numerous projects

to support cable and fiber projects supporting the CFC-A, CSTC-A, and the ISAF Headquarters

• Installed over 15 miles of BOTH fiber optic cables and category 5(CAT 5)

• Terminated over 200 SC Single mode and Multi-mode connectors

• Terminated over 500 CAT 5 cables/both male and female ends

• Installed Panduit for both fiber and CAT 5 cables

Cable and Wire Installation, Camp Casey, Korea, 2004-2006

• Worked a Post Telephone Helpdesk which cleared soldiers leaving country and processed

paperwork for having telephones removed from their rooms.

• Performed periodic maintenance on our communication pedestals and manholes on our camp

and two neighboring camps.

• Responded to trouble tickets for new installs for DSN phone lines, a downed line, or problems

with the phone.
