Leading role in setting up of new breast cancer research
laboratory in the H.M. Bligh cancer research center at the Rosalind
Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) and successfully
developed, procured funding and implemented 2 research projects to study
the role of breast cancer cell secreted factors (proteins and exosomes) in
tumor development and metastasis.
Played a leading role to decipher how lymphoma secreted exosomes
help cancer cells to evade innate immune surveillance.
Developed a novel intracellular microbe based universal vaccine
delivery platform.
Pioneered the use of photodynamic therapy (using phthalocyanine
photosensitizers) for treatment of global parasitic disease,
Leishmaniasis.
