Colorado School of Mines M.S. 2013
M.S. Engineering Systems
Texas Tech University B.S. 2010
B.S. Mechanical Engineering and Minor Mathematics 3.25 GPA
Professional Skills and Certifications
• Matlab/Simulink, Autodesk Inventor, ANSYS CFD and FEA
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
• Lathe, mill, forge, and other industrial manufacturing procedures
• EIT – FE Exam passed April 2010
Experience:
Colorado School of Mines Class Projects:
• Developed and tested theoretical control methods for a satellite using Robust Input Tracking, Optimal Control, and State Estimation using group determined control parameters for response time. Matlab and Simulink were utilized to verify our results.
• Integrating numerical spatial controls for multi-link arms and corresponding vision systems in two and three dimensional space with matrix mathematics and verified results with graphed printouts of transformed and original coordinates of linked arm with Matlab
• Investigating the application of SIFT image recognition for work site identification and navigation. This project simulated a flat work site with two distinct obstacles consisting of a dump truck and coned off dig site or hole. Matlab and an independent SIFT toolbox were used to simulate a user input operating system for a semi-autonomous excavator.
Texas Tech University:
• Team leader for Senior Design Project and ASME Student Design Competition building an automated waste sorter; machined parts, nearly increased budget by 300% with donations, organized meetings and group work sessions
• Worked as a Tutor in Texas Tech University’s Whitacre College of Engineering tutoring center from the Spring of 2007 to
Spring of 2010
• Simulated PID control for an inverted pendulum cart in two dimensions using both Matlab and Simulink simultaneously
