General Manager, 2006 to Present

Manage 3 direct reports and 7 indirect reports in the production, scheduling, maintenance, quality assurance, sales, estimating and accounts receivable departments. Define and manage key process indicators including; daily sales, accounts receivable, people cost, customer concerns, quotation response time and customer feedback on a daily basis. Oversee project management to ensure proper first time launch.

• Obtained QS-9000 and ISO-9000 registration. We were one of the first 75 companies in America to obtain QS registration.

• Integrated APQP documentation, corrective action reports and quotations into a single Microsoft access database.

• Successfully championed the launch of over $10M in new sales to the automotive OEMs over this period.

• Held regional seminars to teach off site quality managers the proper techniques for problem solving within a manufacturing environment. Introduced them to methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Is / Is-Not.

• Received many complements from customers regarding the thoroughness of corrective actions. Received an award for best corrective action during a supplier conference at a customer facility.

Managed 7 metallurgical technicians on three shifts. Designed tooling and error proofed fixtures to improve induction process performance.
