Dear Ms. Georgiadis
Having learned about the paralegal position through an online listing, I am enclosing my resume for your consideration. I am extremely interested in starting a career as a paralegal, and I believe that my education and experience make me a worthy candidate for the position.
As noted on my resume, my education and experience have been focused towards entering the legal industry. Throughout my undergraduate experience, I focused my course-work on legal studies. I expect to graduate in May 2012 with a Bachelors of Science in Legal Studies. I find the legal field extremely engaging, and have taken courses in legal research and writing, constitutional law, and courtroom communications. In addition, I interned at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where I had the opportunity to provide counsel to the homicide bureau regarding legal strategies used during trials, prepare documents needed for trial, and conduct research needed for trial. My combined knowledge of legal issues, together with my experience managing files, projects, and dealing with clients would make me a valuable asset to any legal team.
I am particularly interested in the paralegal position because I would appreciate an opportunity to learn and develop my skills. I yearn to be a part of a law firm, where I can learn more about the profession. I believe that my education, experience and genuine enthusiasm would make me a valuable asset to the team.
Thank you for your attention and consideration; I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Very truly yours,
Nicole Donnelly
