• In Elsevier, for preprocess converting the incoming files such as Word to xml, Pdf to xml and Latex files to Xml.

• Applying XML codes and tags to the documents using Conversion tool & also Tool development by the software team based on the project requirements.

• Error checking and validating the XML files.

• After pagination, the xml files extracted from two types of pagination process, 3b2 files to xml and Indesign file to xml.

• The extracted XML files are used for Post-process to develop the Dataset for the book.
